About DownCheckr

DownCheckr is a real-time service outage detector. We monitor 150+ of the most popular websites and apps — from streaming services like Netflix and YouTube, to gaming platforms like Roblox and Steam, to communication tools like Discord and Slack.

How we detect outages

We use two signals: server-side probes that test if each service is reachable, and shared user reports submitted by visitors. When both signals agree that a service is having problems, the page shows a clear outage warning.

What our data shows

Every site page has a 24-hour uptime chart, a 7-day user report graph, server & hosting details, and category-specific problem types (Login, Playback, Connection, etc.) so you can see exactly what kind of issue people are having.

Privacy

We hash IP addresses with SHA-256 before storing them — this is only used to deduplicate reports and prevent abuse. We don't sell data, run trackers, or build profiles.
