Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 2026
These terms govern your use of Down Checkr (the “Service”), available at https://downcheckr.com. By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What the Service does
Down Checkr checks whether a website is reachable from our servers and shows recent uptime, response time, and user-submitted outage reports. It is a free, informational tool. We do not guarantee that a site’s status shown here matches what you experience from your own network or location.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) use automated scripts to overload or scrape the Service; (b) attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to our systems; (c) submit unlawful, abusive, misleading, or spam content in reports or comments; or (d) use the Service to harass others or misrepresent the status of any website. We may rate-limit, block, or remove content and access at our discretion to protect the Service.
3. User-submitted content
Outage reports and comments you submit are public. You are responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to post it. We may moderate, edit, or remove content that violates these terms, and we filter obvious spam and links automatically. Submitting content does not transfer ownership, but you grant us a licence to display it within the Service.
4. Accuracy & availability
Status information is provided “as is” and may be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect. A check reflects our servers’ view at a point in time and can differ from reality due to bot protection, regional routing, caching, or transient network conditions. The Service itself may be unavailable, interrupted, or changed at any time without notice.
5. Third-party names & trademarks
Website names, logos, and trademarks shown on Down Checkr belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and informational purposes only. Down Checkr is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the websites it monitors.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Down Checkr and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service or the information it provides. You use the Service at your own risk.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
