A travel site freezing mid-booking — or an airline app failing at check-in — is uniquely stressful because it’s often time-sensitive. Before you retry a payment or panic, check whether the service is actually down. This page collects live status for the major travel, hotel and airline sites we monitor.

Why travel and airline sites go down
Travel platforms tie together many live systems — inventory, pricing, payment, and airline or hotel partners — and a failure in any one can stall a booking even when the site loads. The failures we see most are payment and booking-engine overloads during sales or disruptions, partner-system outages (an airline or hotel API going dark), and traffic surges during major weather events or fare drops.
The most common problems
Reports usually cluster around: booking or payment failing, the site freezing at the final step, check-in or boarding passes not loading, and search results not returning. If your booking stalls at payment, avoid retrying repeatedly — duplicate charges are the risk; wait and confirm before trying again.
Is it the site, or your connection?
If our monitor shows the site as up but it won’t work for you, switch networks or devices — the issue is local. If we show it down and reports are climbing, it’s service-wide. Our guide on telling if it’s down for everyone or just you explains how to confirm.
